About the Role:

User Experience Researcher

Location: Oxford, UK  / Remote, UK / Iasi, Romania 

 

 We are looking for a user experience researcher who is passionate about applying their research skills to shape user experiences across scholarly publishing. Working alongside researchers, strategists, designers, product and technology teams, you will combine a rigorous understanding of research methods with a collaborative approach to ensure that product strategy and design are based on a solid foundation of research.  

How you will make an impact: 

  • Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, analytics, and unmoderated studies to gather findings and insights. 

  • Partner with strategists, designers, product and engineering teams to understand business goals and user needs. Work closely with these cross-functional teams to formulate research plans and translate research findings into actionable recommendations. 

  • Synthesize research findings, insights, and recommendations that will guide product and design decisions. Share research reports and presentations with stakeholders and the wider organization.  

  • Continuously monitor user feedback and update appropriate artifacts. (e.g., journey maps, personas)  

  • Champion the voice of the user throughout the company through cross-functional team collaboration, shared learning, and presentations.   

What we look for: 

  • Proven experience conducting user research and translating findings into actionable recommendations. 

  • Experience with UX research methods and a strong desire for continued learning & improvement of research skills.  

  • Detail-oriented and able to condense large amounts of informationinto clear and organized reports. 

  • Organized and capable of balancing multiple projects at one time.  

  • Highly collaborative and comfortable bringing different teams together.   

  • Excellent command ofwritten and spoken English. 

  • Experience with scholarly research or in the publishing industry.

The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the United Kingdom, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
