Community Management Portfolio Specialist 
Location: Remote (East Region) 75% travel required

What You’ll Do: As a Community Management Portfolio Specialist, you will partner with Regional Managers and onsite teams to drive performance and operational excellence across a residential property portfolio. Your role is pivotal in aligning day-to-day operations with company standards, ensuring exceptional quality, consistency, and resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure curb appeal, cleanliness, and unit readiness
  • Oversee apartment turnovers and contractor compliance with turnaround standards
  • Monitor occupancy trends and support leasing and retention strategies
  • Analyze market data and submit detailed reports on occupancy, traffic, and financial performance
  • Provide operational support and administrative assistance to Regional Managers
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures across properties
  • Support new lease-ups with office setup, marketing, and branding initiatives
  • Assist Community Managers with budget planning and expense management
  • Secure approvals for budget deviations and capital expenditures
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure proper accounting and financial controls
  • Coach and train onsite teams in best practices and compliance
  • Participate in hiring, performance feedback, and employee development
  • Manage resident relations and oversee retention initiatives
  • Address resident and staff concerns, ensuring risk mitigation and compliance
Our Ideal Candidate for this Role:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in multifamily residential property management
  • 75% travel required (Including, but not limited to the following locations: Indiana, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Missouri, Michigan, Minnesota)
  • Proven skills in leasing, bookkeeping, and property operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic math skills, Yardi experience a plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including availability for after-hours emergencies.
  • Physical ability to tour properties and climb stairs regularly.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
