Position Overview
Merkle seeks an experienced UX Lead to oversee user experience strategy and execution for our strategic Adobe partnership, developing industry-specific solutions that leverage Adobe's Experience Cloud platform. This role acts as the senior UX partner to both Adobe and enterprise clients, translating complex business requirements into intuitive, scalable customer experiences across retail, financial services, healthcare, and B2B manufacturing sectors.
Core Responsibilities
Solution Development Leadership
- Lead UX strategy for 3-6 industry-specific packaged solutions annually aligned to Adobe's strategic sales plays
- Design end-to-end customer journeys that integrate Adobe Real-Time CDP, Journey Optimizer, Target, and Experience Manager
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows for proof-of-concept demonstrations and client presentations
- Oversee UX consistency across solution portfolios ensuring scalability and reusability
Client Consultation & Discovery
- Conduct client needs assessments and translate business requirements into experience design strategies
- Lead design thinking workshops with C-suite and VP-level stakeholders at enterprise accounts
- Present UX recommendations and prototypes to senior client decision-makers
- Collaborate with clients to optimize Adobe platform implementations for user experience outcomes
Adobe Platform Expertise
- Design experiences that maximize Adobe Experience Manager Sites, Assets, and Forms capabilities
- Architect user experiences leveraging Adobe Journey Optimizer's omnichannel orchestration
- Create personalization strategies utilizing Adobe Target and Real-Time CDP
- Ensure designs align with Adobe's component libraries and design system standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Enterprise Architects to ensure UX feasibility within Adobe platform constraints
- Guide Creative Directors on visual design execution aligned to UX strategy
- Collaborate with Agentic AI Lead on conversational and intelligent experience design
- Work with Product Marketing Lead to translate UX value into client-facing messaging
Required Qualifications
Experience & Expertise
- 8+ years UX/experience design with 3+ years in enterprise B2B or B2C digital experiences
- AI-first solution development
- Demonstrated experience designing for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites and Assets
- Strong understanding of Adobe Experience Cloud architecture and capabilities
- Portfolio showcasing complex, multi-platform customer journey design
- Experience consulting directly with VP and C-level stakeholders
Technical Capabilities
- Expert proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent prototyping tools
- Deep knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), and design systems
- Understanding of headless CMS architecture and component-based design approaches
- Familiarity with Adobe Target personalization and A/B testing methodologies
- Basic understanding of APIs, data models, and technical constraints
Industry Knowledge
- Experience in 2+ of the following: retail/e-commerce, financial services, healthcare, or B2B manufacturing
- Understanding of enterprise digital transformation challenges and MarTech ecosystems
- Knowledge of content supply chain workflows and digital asset management best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Adobe Certified Expert (AEM Sites or Target)
- Experience with conversational AI and agentic interface design
- Background in design thinking facilitation and service design methodologies
- Previous agency or consulting experience serving enterprise clients
- Understanding of retail media networks, personalization engines, or customer data platforms
The hourly pay range for this position is $54.33 - $87.91. The hourly pay rate for the successful candidate is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Temporary employees are eligible for paid holidays in accordance with dentsu policy, as well as safe and sick time. This position is not eligible for any other benefits or other compensation.
