The NC Department of Adult Corrections is seeking a Human Resources Technician I to join the DAC Human Resources Division in Raleigh. This position provides crucial support to the department's leave and benefits programs while also assisting as a liaison between the central benefits team and external customers. This is an opportunity to learn about or expand upon essential HR functions, ensuring employees receive timely and accurate support. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, organized, and effective communicator, comfortable with managing multiple tasks and projects.

Associate’s degree, typically in Human Resources from an appropriately accredited institution or relevant field and no years of experience required
OR
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources

Central HR handles a wide range of responsibilities related to staffing and recruitment, benefits, policy administration, classification and compensation, organization development, data & analytics, performance, employee relations/equal employment opportunities, and safety administration.
